I would say I have been here for around six years. My 19 year-old son plays footy for Stawell and I joined the Warriors when he started playing football in around under-13s.
I have always been involved with netball, I was involved with the Interchurch netball.
When my son came across, Tracey (Dark) asked me to coach an under-17s with her one particular year, and I have been going ever since.
Q. What do you love most about the club that you support/volunteer for?
It is a great family-friendly club. Everyone is made to feel welcome and I like how if girls want to try and pursue their netball their is an avenue for that.
Q. Why do you do what you support/volunteer for your club?
There was a position open for a netball director. I did some coaching first and I thought I would take this on, for someone to come to if they needed any support.
I like seeing the young girls develop as people and players, it is great to see.
Q. What is your number one highlight in your time supporting/volunteering?
My biggest highlight is when our under-15 girls won their grand final against Horsham in 2019.
It was great to see and they totally deserved it.
Q. Who is the player from your club you've most enjoyed watching?
Right now I really like watching all our senior netballers. They are all playing really well and there is so many great players.
We have so many great role models at our club that are here to help develop our juniors
I truly enjoy watching our juniors as well. Mia Carter, for one in our under-17s team has impressed me with how she can shut down an opposition WA.
