The Victorian government has been very clear - Melburnians will not be permitted to travel regionall over the Queen's Birthday long weekend, June 12-14.
It's a cruel blow, to what's been a tough 12 months for operators in the Grampians region who have been continually hammered by cancellations.
Grampians Tourism has create an online portal listing all accommodation providers who now have availability and are eager to welcome visitors to the region.
Long weekends are a peak time for regions that rely on tourism and the overflow into surrounding towns as visitors make their way to their destination.
Grampians Tourism chief executive Marc Sleeman said operators were prepping for a big weekend over the Queen's Birthday - the region was fully booked.

"It is dreadful to see them once again being rocked by the impacts of COVID-19," he said.
"We are hoping our regional neighbours will show their support for the local businesses and embrace everything the Grampians has to offer. With the whole region theirs to explore, there's no better time to visit.
"With breathtaking scenery, outdoor adventures, cultural sites and some of the state's most celebrated food and wine, the Grampians offers an abundance of experiences catering to all tastes and interests.
