Bureau of Meteorology's senior meteorologist Matthew Thomas said to expect some strong winds across Victoria.
"A cold front will move over Victoria on Wednesday, and that will see northerly winds increase," he said.
The winds will peak in the Alpine areas in the eastern of the state late Wednesday afternoon.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"We'll see some rain through Wednesday, Thursday and Friday," Mr Thomas said.
"On Wednesday we'll see a north-westerly cloud band move through the west of the state."
Rainfall will pick up for western Victoria on Thursday.
The western part of the state could get between 15 to 25mm of rain.
Not as much rain is expected for the Mallee and parts of the Northern Wimmera.
"Only 5 to 15mm expected," Mr Thomas said.

The forecast for Stawell for Wednesday, June 23 is a 95 per cent chance of rain, about 10 to 15mm of rain are expected. The overnight low will be 8°C with a top of 12°C.
On Thursday, June 24, there is an almost 100 per cent chance of rain with about 6 to 10mm expected. A thunderstorm is also predicted for during the day. The overnight low is expected to be 7°C, with a top of 12°C during the day. There is also a chance of gusty winds, 40 km/h in the middle of the day.
For Friday, June 25, there is a 95 per cent chance of rain but with only 2 to 5mm expected. It will drop to 7°C overnight with a top of 13°C.
Rain is also expected over the weekend, with an 30 per cent chance of rain on Saturday, with less than and a 70 per cent chance on Sunday with 1 to 3mm.
