"Two imitation firearms were seized under warrant."
An imitation firearm is a firearm that doesn't function like a real firearm, but appears to be a real firearm.
"The Horsham man was arrested at Stawell with offences including a prohibited person possessing an imitation firearm, committed indictable offences while on bail and contravening his bail," Snr Const Roberts said.
The 37-year-old Horsham man was formally charged and remanded to appear at Horsham Magistrates' Court.
Several police officers were involved from Horsham, Stawell and Ararat investigation units.
"We're very satisfied with the finalisation of that investigation," Senior Constable Roberts said.
"It's a good result. An accused man has had imitation firearms seized from him and they're not in the community anymore."
