St Arnaud police detected a vehicle travelling at 129km/h in a 100km/h zone on Banyena Road, St Arnaud North on Sunday, August 8, at 3pm.
The driver, a 25-year-old-man, will receive a $500 penalty notice and his licence will be suspended for three months.
Not an hour later, St Arnaud police detected another speeding vehicle.
The vehicle was travelling at 163km/h in a 100km/h zone on the Sunraysia Highway at Carapooee West. The 27-year-old driver's car was sent off to the impound yard for a month at a cost of $2375.
The man's driver's licence was immediately suspended for 12 months and he will be charged on summons in relation to Speed Dangerous and Exceed the Speed Limit by 45km/h.
