Run each year by the Children's Book Council of Australia, Book Week celebrates books and Australian children's authors and illustrators.
This year also marks the 75th anniversary of Book Week.
Each year, Book Week has a different theme, the 2021 theme is Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds.
In 2019, the theme was "Reading is my Secret Power" and in 2020, the theme was "Curious Creatures, Wild Minds".
Book Week is a time to be creative with one of the best parts being Book Day when pupils and teachers can dress up like literary characters.
For 2021, pupils will be at home for this years Book Week.
But that shouldn't stop young bookworms; dress up and send in your photos for a chance to see them inn the newspaper.
