Acting Senior Sergeant Eddie Malpas said on August 27 at approximately 6.30pm, Ararat police members intercepted a suspicious vehicle in the Ararat area.
A search of the vehicle was undertaken which resulted in members allegedly locating an amount of methylamphetamine, commonly known as "ice."

A 32-year-old female was arrested and charged with possession of a drug of dependence and bailed to appear at court at a later date.
Acting Senior Sergeant Eddie Malpas also said on September 2 at approximately 9.30am Ararat Police members conducted a drug related search warrant on a premises in Ararat.
He said as a result of the search, an amount of cannabis allergy was located.
Acting Senior Sergeant Malpas said a 29-year-old male was arrested and charged with possessing a drug of dependence and bailed to appear at court.
